Betsy Martin, Founder  

Betsy Martin is the Founder and CEO of Vaya Ventures which owns and operates Vaya (www.vayaconnect.com), Orca Communications (www.orcacommunications.com), and Real Wellness (www.realwellnesscincy.com) in addition to advising high growth companies providing meaningful impact to people & planet.                                                

She is an internationally recognized eCommerce leader who has defined and implemented growth strategies for some of the world’s most loved and transaction-intensive brands. Her contribution to today’s ever-changing marketplace has garnered over 40 “Best of Digital” awards, and coverage in top media outlets, including Best Shopping Website, Best Education Website, and Best Music Website.  Betsy has partnered with clients such as Nutrisystem, WebMD/Healtheon, New York & Company, The Vitamin Shoppe, Kay & Jared Jewelers, 1800 Mattress, Chef’s Catalog, Brookstone, Visa International, Procter & Gamble, US Cellular, Symantec, and many more. As a respected pioneer during the “dot-com” boom, she managed account teams in creating eCommerce sites that set the industry standard for excellence including Eddie Bauer, Crate & Barrel, Coach, and Godiva as well as digital education strategies for The University of Michigan, West Clermont Local School District and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.  

Betsy served as the founding Executive Director of The Institute for Social Justice, OneJustWorld, at The Union Institute and University. She is an advocate of empowerment through entrepreneurship and her Roadmap to Return has been featured in Internet Retailer, the Consumer Electronics Association, and other media outlets.  Betsy has been recognized with the New Business of the Year award, by the Clermont Chamber of Commerce.  Prior roles include Chief of Client services for Fry overseeing offices in New York, Seattle, and Ann Arbor in addition to San Francisco based Client Services leadership roles at Dun & Bradstreet and Microstrategy.  She lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband John, daughter Rachel, and son Josh.
